Valosani – A Race From The Planet N’Goras

A Preceptor caste Valosan

The Valosani (a word meaning simply “the people” in their language) are a sapient humanoid species native to N’Goras. Their advanced technology complements and enhances their mastery of the psychic arts. The largest Valosani caste is the Preceptor, who adhere to a strict creed based on the teachings of Hak’ai. Hak’ai was a founder of a new philosophy who led the majority of Valosani society away from the dark ages of war and into an enlightenment. His teachings brought the race together to reach for the stars and expand their knowledge of the universe.

Another caste are called the Apostate as they reject the teachings of Hak’ai and believe that the old warlike ways are what kept Valosan people free and strong. Then there are the Da’sheem who embrace teachings from both the older tribes as well as the teachings of Hak’ai passed down through the Preceptor. This caste has been able to find a middle ground between the ideological differences of the other two major castes. Because of this, Da’sheem are often selected for leadership in the governing bodies of N’Goras and other inhabited worlds settled by the Valosani. Although, there are smaller factions which are at odds with these practices.

Physiology

The typical Valosan is about two meters tall and weighs roughly 100 kilograms. They walk on digitigrade legs, have two eyes typically larger than those of humans and leathery skin which may come in different hues based on the lineage of the individual. They have broad chests and shoulders, and narrow waists with slim midsections. Extending back from the crown of the head, Valosani have a bony protrusion. Beneath this grow the tendrils which are nerve extensions, allowing them to access their racial psychic gestalt.
